A few days ago someone asked me if I was trying to be "hipster". NO! I am not "trying" to be anything. My style is unique, it's not "hipster" or anything like that. Sure, it may have components, like 60's or 70's or a certain vibe, but I am not TRYING to look anything. I just wear what I like. What I like is what I wear.
So this will probably be my last post until next weekish because exams are next week and I'll be studying this week and stuff. . Here is some tres tres interessant musique (hee hee. practicing for the french exam) I want to show you! Bye for a while!

Today after school I made some crowns with flowers on them. Yay. I feel creative and happy and rather summer-y.

 The last one is my favourite. Oh ya, this is what I wore today: (I got a new skirt! I thrifted it!)

Sometimes I just don't get people. A few months ago I started dressing "differently" and listening to "different" music. People started to act weird around me. They wouldn't talk to me as much, and some people even don't talk to me at all now. It's really the same Maren. Same personality (crazy!), same ideas, same opinions. Just different clothes and thicker eyeliner. People think that my skirts are suit to be curtains, and that I look "fancy". "Why are you wearing a skirt?" "What's up with the bell-bottoms?" I DRESS THIS WAY BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT. Honestly. I think it's also because I go to a very small school and people don't like change. If I went to a school with 500 kids, it would probably go unnoticed. Not that I even want to be noticed. I DON'T! I dress for myself, I wear makeup for myself, and I'm not trying to get attention by wearing flowers atop my head. OPINION. I guess some people think that I want attention, and I want people to look at me. They are completely wrong! A few months ago, I blended in and felt kind of off balanced. Now, I feel right, and I don't really care if you think what I'm wearing is stupid or for attention. I just like it.

Hi. I am just really bored and don't want to go to school tomorrow so I'm gonna blog. I have been feeling rather crafty so I made things. I was really mad cuz when I went to the closest dollar store to me it was CLOSED FOREVER. I NEEDED GLITTER. Ergy erg. Anyways I watched 500 Days of Summer an hour ago. It was good. Summer made me angry because she totally drove him into misery and stuff.

Sorry bout my last post. I accidentally re-blogged it somehow and it was from like a month ago. GAH.  Totally off topic, but I bought a Bob Marley shirt: (This post is really all over the place)

A Walk in the Woods

My friend and I went on a walk to a swingy bridge and she was a model. And we ate cupcakes and strawberries. No, we really did! Yay here are the pictures.

So I sewed some little flowers on one of my favourite shirts. I've had this shirt since march, I got it when I went to Fargo. I sewed the flowers on last month. I am really lazy and I am comfy in my chair and I didn't want to get up and upload pictures so I used my web cam instead.

DID YOU HEAR??? ROOKIE IS DOING A TOUR THIS SUMMER IN THE STATES! I WANT TO GOOOOOO!!!! The closest place is Chicago, and I think I have exams when they go. :'( Boo hoo. I am crushed. I WANT TO EAT ICE CREAM WITH TAVI AND PETRA AND ANAHEED AND PETRA'S SISTER AND BOYFRIEND. You have to read the article to get that.
BLEEEEEEEEEEEH. I'm going to go and make things and put them on a string to hang on my ceiling and listen to David Bowie to drown my sorrows.

p.s what could I do to make my blog look less boring? thoughts and suggestions would be rather helpful.

I just got this purse on Saturday from Value Village, and I LOVE IT! It was like three bucks!

 I also got some neeew shoes! I love them, they are so nice and light for summer! When I put them on, I thought, wow these are really weightless! Well, I've been wearing docs for about 3 months so it did feel nice.

I also got these orange socks. I'm not too sure what I'll wear with them yet, but I'll figure something out.

YAY. It feels so weird to hear other bloggers talking about exams because mine aren't till the end of June! I'm probably most worried about math because I'm not the best at it. I'm kind of more right brained than left. A few weeks ago we had a career day about construction. I was totally bored by it, but I got a day off, so yay. Apparently after grade 9 you go on one every year. I asked a friend in grade 11 what the others were about and she said they were kind of the same. I really don't understand that because there are  other jobs in the world other than brick layers! I mean, why couldn't we tour an art gallery or an art school? Or even have a a day where we can learn about journalism or teaching or art or design? Gah. This frustrates me! If you could have a whole day devoted to construction, why can't there be one about the arts???

Anyways, let's just say that I'm really overtired because I had a math test and a first aid exam today and I have piles of math homework due tomorrow and I have to finish 2 yearbook pages by Friday which is really hard because the website won't upload pictures and when it does it takes 20 minutes. Why am I on yearbook? I really don't know. gahbooeekovertired. I finally got my hair done!!!! :) See:

I also finished my home ec project early, so my teacher let me make these from this rookie tutorial!

Yay. I also made a little nature corner on my desk, replacing my collection of old stuff.

Hello hello! Sorry I have been absent for awhile. I went to a trip to Minneapolis for a band trip. It was really fun, and we went to valley fair and a baseball game that was 4 hours long. That was the most boring part, other than the super long bus ride. We also went to the mall of America, but we only had 2 hours to shop :( because the mall closed at seven because it was a Sunday. BUT I haven't told you the most important part yet! I feel like this right now:

Now the sunglasses are an interesting story. They are from a cool store that we found in  the top corner of the mall called Ragstock. It was full of neon spandex and oversized sweaters and colour blocked jackets. The most amazing thing was these sunglasses that I got for $5! On the receipt it actually said ROUND JOHN LENNON! So cool! Sorry for the crappy quality of these, they were taken on my webcam because my camera is currently M.I.A.in  the disaster of my room because I still have to unpack and stuff. UUURGH I am tired from getting home at eleven last night.....toodles and goodnight even though it is only 5:26 pm.
