I've looked at life from both sides now

It says Manhattan on the side.
OK I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING: Oh wow her arms are really quite deformed! But no, I actually have quite normal arms if you look at the rest of my blog, it's just the angle.

sweater-thrifted  skirt-American apparel  tights- they were in my tights drawer and I just chose them because they were black and I have no idea where they are from.

My grandma gave me this for Christmas! EEE! Isn't it amazing?? The photo kind of sucks because it won't flip. The top is red and so is the bottom.

A box of 45s from my mom's childhood! Yay lots of 60s stuff!

My record collection so far. We have way more downstairs, but I haven't gone through them yet. Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Power, Blondie, Simon & Garfunkel, the Doors, the Eagles. My mom and I went to a second hand record store on Boxing day. It was so much fun! We got the 3 on the bottom, and the Cat Power & Blondie ones. She insisted we get the Doors and the Eagles because she loves them so much. The rest are my parent's from like 20 years ago. We have a disassembled turntable downstairs, but my dad says there would be nowhere to put it. Hence the tiny one up there.

Frida book from my mom

Collage book also from my mom

New books from my parents

PENS!!! eee! <3
My newest wall with pictures of space and a map of the heavens.

Sorry its kind of messy.
So I had a nice Christmas. We went to stay with my Grandma from Monday until Thursday so we could visit family and stuff.  I got some clothes and books from my parents, and my aunt and uncle gave me Parks + Rec season 4. We had nice dinners all week full of gravy, potatoes, turkey and yummy things like that. I made cookies and decorated them too. I don't have any pictures because I ate them all. :) I hope you had a nice Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa.

Little babies sleeping.
And here are some watercolours I did yesterday. I kind of let it run on purpose, because I like how it looks. Kind of free and flowy looking, I think.

Wintry cats

A girl. I kind of looked at my face for this one, but I changed the eyes, mouth and face shape. The hair, eyebrows and nose is all mine. So in a way it's kind of a self portrait, but not really.

Another girl. As you can see, I'm very into barrettes. And blue.

Pianos filled with flames

That day I put my hair in a ponytail and I had these 2 wavy strands that looked nice.

I thrifted this jacket a few months ago, and then I added fabric to the back patch and on the collar.

In other news, I now have bangs!

They're kind of only half bangs, but I can't have real bangs or else they'll split in the center. (I know it looks like I have really greasy hair, but I had wet hair in that picture). While we're on the topic of hair, I'm going to dye it in January! The colour is a secret, but I just thought I'd let y'all know.

I borrowed the complete Freaks and Geeks season from a friend this week to re watch it. I watched it when I was 13, but now that I'm actually in high school, it feels so much more relevant. I don't know, I guess I feel that I can relate to both Sam and Lindsay with being an outsider. I mean, I don't hang out with the burnouts or anything, but I guess sometimes I am "categorized" as a geek. I get good grades and everything, and sometimes that means people just assume that I think I'm too good to hang out with them. On Tuesday I walked home with a girl who I rarely talk to and never hang out with, and it was kind of nice. I don't really care that I don't have a social life, but it was nice to feel a little acceptance.

Merry Christmas!

Sweater is GRG, skirt is topshop, tights are handed down from my cousin, socks are joe.

the sweater is my mummy's, skirt is thrifted, tight are joe, shoes are thrifted

I love these shoes SO MUCH. I got them at a thrift store last week, and they're barely used!

Sweater, skirt and shoes are all thrifted, tights are joe.

Just because I love them so much and they look awesome with green.

So I've recently been obsessing over sweaters, because it is very cold here in December and they are just so cosy and nice. I like them alot with skirts, and I think I wore a sweater every day this week.

In other news, I have a tumblr now, it mostly has some of my art on it and some of my photos.

I'm telling you now

wintertime on the front street

wintertime in my backyard/on the river

more wintertime in my backyard.

So, obviously, it snowed here. yaaay! I actually really like it when there's snow on the ground and it's gray outside. I think it's kind of pretty, in a way, like pale and sad and dead. Wow, I sound optimistic! Sorry I haven't updated in a while, we have reports at the end of the month, so teachers are all like: QUIZ! TEST! PAPER! TEST! PAPER! TEST! QUIZ! PAPER! I've had a fun few weeks. I also kind of wanted some outfits to build up: (only 2, but that's ok...)
